Great visit with Dr. Velez. I appreciated that he did not start with surgery as the first option. He made me feel at ease and hopeful that my symptoms would subside with some anti- inflammatory meds and stretching exercises. He has a great bedside manner and I would highly recommend him for your orthopedic needs!

After a Spinal surgery years ago to remove a Cyst in my spinal cord that was the size of a nickel. Nothing but positive things to say about Jason. The surgery was 6 hours to separate the nerves and remove it. I hurt myself in a fall this time, luckily it was just a stress fracture that will take time to heal. It was great to catch up with him.

My view of healthcare has several perspectives. Senior citizen patient, 25 years as a healthcare administrator, a clinical social worker. The Resurgence staff is textbook perfect at every step. Dr Velez was the thorough but easy physician I needed to make the big surgery decision. He was patient with my need to know detail as well as the 'what's next'. My recovery has been extremely smooth and the full desired outcome seems near. I credit Dr Velez.

After putting off having surgery for several years and trying non-surgical treatments, I made the important decision to have major spine fusion surgery. I chose Dr Jason Velez and I could not I've made a better choice! I was a grueling two day surgery over 11 hours and I was at Northside hospital for a week. I had to spend a couple of months using a walker and having home therapy. Then progress to physical therapy at a clinic. I did everything to heal properly. Dr Velez was very straightforward and honest with me and told me at my age, which is 65, that it could take a year for me to recover. Being an impatient person, that did not set well with me. As I continued to improve, I realized that my body had been through a great deal and it would take time. It's been just over a year now since my surgery and I would highly recommend Dr Velez. Dr. Velez did my lumbar back fusion surgery in September and the results are wonderful. I should have done it sooner! Dr Velez is very professional and cares about his patient. I highly recommend him.
