"Resurgens Orthopaedics offers the very best orthopaedic care to residents of Georgia and the surrounding states" said Alex Bateman, Resurgens Orthopaedics CEO. "We are committed to ensuring that patients who live in Metro Atlanta and the outlying areas can find outstanding orthopaedic care close to their homes and our new location does just that for residents of McDonough and the surrounding communities."
"We at Resurgens are
extremely excited to offer our patients robotic-assisted total knee replacement
surgery" said Dr. Jason Brustein, Resurgens Orthopaedics physician.
"This technology will allow us to provide patients with the latest technology
and continue our mission of providing the highest level of care possible."
Dr.
Jason Brustein, Dr.
Scott Cahoon and Dr. Bernard Bush from the McDonough location as
well as Dr. Charles Claps who practices at the Resurgens Orthopaedics
locations in Fayetteville and Newnan, are certified to use the MAKO Robot for
robotic-arm assisted knee surgeries. The Mako robotic-arm system creates a 3D model of the
knee joint which is then used to create a patient-specific pre-operative plan.
During surgery, the robotic-arm assists with execution of that plan while
protecting vital structures and minimizing soft-tissue injury. Robotic-arm
surgery often leads to a shorter recovery time and less post-operative pain for
patients.
